I am a scientist in the Dept. of pharmacology and the LOCI (www.loci.wisc.edu)at the UW doing research on breast cancer. October is breast cancer awareness month so please give to the Susan Komen foundation. Those who attended the numerous parties I threw in college may be surprised to learn that I was awarded bachelors and doctoral degrees from the UW. Following undergrad I lived in New Orleans for a year and then did a postdoctoral fellowship in San Diego for four years. Now I'm back in Madison to stay, and after looking at other profiles, I'm amazed at how many of us live in the Madison area. I never bump into you people, where is everyone hiding out since it clearly isnt at concerts at the Barrymore.
I remember: being the victim of the le marqueur fatale in Madame Cipperley's French class (being known as la bouche after all), Mr. Howard terrorizing anyone who dared to be 5 seconds late to accounting class, and Mr. Carey bouncing a tennis ball off the wall to explain all Newtonian physics-yes I am a scientist.
